Day 1
You will fly to Lima today. On arrival you will be greeted by our friendly representatives and transferred into the city. Your guide will give you an overview of the city to help you make the most of your time.
Day 2
Today you will have a shared culinary tour in Lima. The tour focuses on local delicacies and some of the weird and wonderful food that Peru has to offer. The tour is interactive to suit inquisitive minds, and involves lots of sampling opportunities! Afternoon at leisure.
Day 3
An early start for your flights to the colonial town of Arequipa. You will be transferred to your hotel in the pretty Old Town, with the afternoon to begin exploring and acclimatising.
Day 4
You will meet your private guide for a tour of Arequipa. Most areas of interest are within walking distance, so the majority of the tour will be on foot.
Day 5
Today you will take the spectacular overland journey from Arequipa to the lush Colca Valley - keep a lookout for herds of wild llama and vicuna as you depart the volcanic backdrop of Arequipa.
Day 6
This morning you will visit Condor’s Cross at the dramatic Canyon. Here you can hope for a sighting of the enormous condors gliding on the thermals. You will return to your hotel for a leisurely afternoon, to perhaps explore the area or visit the hot springs.
Day 7
You will be transferred to sleepy Llachon, on the shores of the pretty Lake Titicaca. Here you will meet a local family and will stay in simple lodgings for the night, which is a really memorable experience. This is likely to be one of the highest stops in terms of altitude, so do wrap up warm tonight.
Day 8
You will have a full day excursion with your guide and boatman on the lake, and you will visit the touristy Uros floating islands. You will have the chance to dress in traditional costume, and see how the islands have been constructed. You will end the tour in Puno, where you will stay for the night.
Day 9
You will travel to Cusco by tourist coach today, with a few stops along the way. You will stay in Cusco’s historic centre, an area filled with pretty plazas, boutiques and restaurants.
Day 10
Meet your guide and driver for a comprehensive tour of the city. You will explore the highlights of central Cusco as well as some of the impressive Inca ruins on the surrounding hillsides.
Day 11
Free day to further explore Cusco at your own pace. Shop for gifts in the handicrafts markets and maybe visit the Chocolate Museum.
Day 12
You will be transferred through the Sacred Valley to the small town of Ollantayambo, from where you will take the spectacular train journey to Machu Picchu. On arrival, you will take the shuttle bus up to Machu Picchu with your guide. You will have an afternoon tour, before returning to the small town where you will spend the night.
Day 13
You have tickets for a second entry to Machu Picchu to further explore at your own pace. You will take the train to the Sacred Valley of the Incas this afternoon, a beautiful final stop on your trip.
Day 14
Today you will have a mountain bike excursion to the incredible sites of Maras and Moray, a wonderful tour that is suitable for all ages and abilities. This afternoon is free to relax in the pristine setting of the Sacred Valley before you travel home tomorrow.

You will be transferred to Cusco airport for your flights home, via Lima.
Day 16
